Savannah Technical College’s Allied Health division prides itself on being on the cutting edge of technology. Not only are a number of diploma core courses available online – including Anatomy and Physiology, Nutrition and Diet Therapy and Medical Terminology – but the department shares a fully-automated, fully responsive |

mannequin for simulations of real life situations. The students are encouraged to interact with SimMan just as they would a real patient; they are introduced to a myriad of situations with the patient responding to each step of care. SimMan responds accordingly to each procedure. The interactions are video recorded and replayed for the students with the instructor giving feedback with each step. This technology encourages, requires, and sharpens a student’s critical thinking ability in a simulated environment that prepares them for their field study. |
